About

Welcome to The Laughing Man’s Weblog.  This blog is a repository of reading/project notes I create as I work through various assignments given to me by my professors.  Most things here aren’t worth much to the casual voyeur since these notes are esoteric and most likely will only mean something to me and possibly one of my classmates.  If you disagree, don’t understand, or have a hard time discerning any pattern, then you’ve hit upon the essence of this blog.  This is a space for play-work, and this endeavor only makes sense to me, the sad person who has chosen to subject himself to graduate level work in Composition and Rhetoric.

Hey, you have inspired me. I’m kinda working in the same area (?) — a mumbo jumbo of humor and critical theory and well, you know it takes on a life of its own–takes in so many areas of life.

I wish you luck and love your logo–how did you do that? It makes it aesthetically inviting. Good luck, not that you need it.

The source of your info on Maria W. Stewart is the book:
“Maria W. Stewart, America’s First Black Woman Political Writer.”

My source was _The Rhetorical Tradition: Readings from Classical Times to the Present_. In looking through Bizzell and Herzberg’s (the editors of the above mentioned anthology) bibliography, you’re right–they used Marilyn Richardson’s _Maria W. Stewart, America’s First Black Woman Political Writer: Essays and Speeches._
